Senior Full Stack Web Developer | Telford | >£45,000 + Commission
Rougue one: A Developers Story! It is a period of great growth and excitement. The Galactic Empire that rules the Shropshire galaxy is calling for their ultimate super-weapon, ‘The Full Stack Web Developer’. The Rebellion plan is to lead the migration of a .NET legacy system into a new modular based web system, as well as developing innovative and bespoke web based features and applications for their clients. We are recruiting an experienced developer with a strong background in web technologies and a proven track record in delivering agile and extensible web solutions to undertake the superior development missions.
As lead developer, you will be responsible for the design and development life cycle of the products and managing delivery expectations. Excellent team working and the ability to work with internal and non-technical clients are also key requirements.
Skills:
- Full stack web development
- Programming languages (MVC, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, SQL Server, C# .NET)
- Scripting and coding languages (HTML 5 and CSS3)
- Knowledge of web services, WebAPI’s (XML)
- Experience with version control (TFS)
- Experience in building re-usable web components.
- Good understanding of cross browser/device testing.
- 3rd Party components such as Telerik
- Reporting using SSRS, Crystal, Excel, etc.
- ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework will be of benefit.
- Integration to external API sources (third parties such as Google, Facebook etc).
- Understanding and use of unit testing & debugging.
Responsibilities:
- Working on browser technologies and server side framework development; developing platforms; integrating systems; building, configuring and testing in line with project requirements; manipulating databases through stored procedures and web service technologies etc.
- Creating prototypes and templates, working with colleagues and user groups for testing, monitoring/reflecting on user experiences and modifying where appropriate
- Supporting on-going functionality improvements and support evolving design, development and use of web applications and systems, scoping the new functionality, developing back-end and front-end programming, testing and integrating into the operational system
- Use of version control systems (TFS)
- Use of web services (XML) and current web standards (W3C standards).
- Developing IT solutions across a range of system applications.
- Supporting on-going functionality improvements as well as design, development and back / front end programming.
