The LEGO Batman is searching for his sidekick in crime as there are big changes brewing in Telford. He wants to save the UK from The Joker’s hostile web development & recruit a lone Web Developer to help stop an evil tyrant.
A small team of designers and developers already exist, although they are thought to be the prophesied ‘Special’, this is an opportunity to help them provide bespoke customised Web Development for both the internal & external customers. Your work will be a mixture of small business-as-usual changes/updates, small-to-medium sized projects including customised themes and interface development, to large development/re-engineering projects such as report generation, customised plugins and integration.
You will work in a creative team environment to develop responsive HTML/CSS/JavaScript (jQuery) code to form page templates, themes, automation, website productivity and reports that are accessible across all common browsers. You will help provide diligent user testing and ensure your work delivers an intuitive and memorable user experience. You will advise on user interface best practices to meet performance and client requirements & contribute to continuous improvements.
Experience Required
- 3+ years Web Development experience
- Strong HTML5 and CSS3 semantic hand-coding skills
- Proficient in PHP and Javascript
- Good understanding of backend functionality
- Demonstrated experience in developing responsive, cross-browser websites including MySQL/MariaDB
- Experience in working collaboratively using technical specifications for interactive websites
- Proven understanding of web and mobile technologies and standards
- Demonstrable experience of usability/accessibility best practices
- Excellent project management, organisational and interpersonal skills.
